Why did you join L'OCCITANE, and why have you stayed?
I used to work for Chanel and we used to have the Shea Butter handcream in our drawer and I used it all the time. When I found out they were opening a boutique in Kingston, I had to work for the company! I’ve been with L'OCCITANE nearly 4 years now and I have stayed as I love the products and the people I work with and also the beliefs the company have.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Seeing my regular customers and having them ask for me when they come in. It means alot knowing that they want me to help and advise them.

What has been your most memorable moment since joining the company?
My most memorable moment was when I served Ashley Cole and found out he was shorter than me and I'm only 5ft 3!

What do you like best about your work environment?
I really love working in the Kingston Boutique as the team have made it a great place to work in. It sets a really nice and professional vibe for when customers come to visit.

What is your favorite product?
I’m loving the new SPF 30 Sunscreen Veil for face I am using it with my daily L'OCCITANE face cream. It is a great makeup base and also I love the fact it has a high sunscreen, this will hopefully make me stay looking 25 forever!

Lee – Boutique Manager

Why did you join L'OCCITANE, and why have you stayed?
I joined L'OCCITANE because I was originally attracted to the products and the image of the boutique in St Christopher’s Place as it had the feeling of a small Provencal village store. I have stayed because I enjoy working in retail and interacting with people, as well as all the different training opportunities L'OCCITANE offers.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I enjoy selling and interacting with the public on a retail level, as you get to meet and listen to all the different reasons people shop at L'OCCITANE.

What has been your most memorable moment since joining the company?
My most memorable experience at L’Occitane was working with the New Boutique Opening Team in Norwich and Chester as it was fun to see a L’Occitane store spring out of boxes and into reality! And the chance to work with all the teams from different departments, gave me the chance to see their perspective, and the way they view L’Occitane Retail.

What do you like best about your work environment?
I need to move about and be stimulated in my work environment, and working in a retail store gives you that freedom and diversity, as each selling day is different, I couldn’t just sit behind a desk and type, I would need a desk with wheels!

What is your favorite product?
My favorite Product is the Cade Youth Concentrate as it keeps my skin hydrated in the ever-changing UK Climate and of course has that secret Immortelle Essential Oil to keep me rejuvenated!

Christina – Visual Merchandiser

Why did you join L'OCCITANE, and why have you stayed?
I joined L'OCCITANE 3 years ago and started at the Bluewater store . I loved the thought of working for a company that gives so much back to its customers and has the same beliefs as my own. I have stayed with the company and been given the opportunity to develop my skills and understanding of the company in head office.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
That I get to face new challenges every day.

What has been your most memorable moment since joining the company?
My most memorable moment since joining L'OCCITANE is when I found out I got the Visual Merchandising job. I had been waiting for 3 days to hear but it felt like weeks and once I was told that I was going to work in head office, I was so excited! I’m sure I will have more memories in years to come with L'OCCITANE.

What do you like best about your work environment?
Being surround by so many friendly and interesting people. The office is such a vibrant place, filled with different cultures. You learn so much from the people around you.

What is your favorite product?
100% Shea Butter 8ml – This product is a handbag essential! It’s a great multipurpose product that can be used on any part of the body all year round and is excellent to use on the ends of your hair when you’re expecting bad hair days.

Raymond – Warehouse Operations Manager

Why did you join L'OCCITANE, and why have you stayed?
I joined on a temporary basis to help with QVC stock and order processing at our previous warehouse in Greenwich. Now after four and a half years with L'OCCITANE I can sum up the reason in a three words, Opportunity, Progress and Development.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
A sense of achievement knowing that you and your team have done all they can to help the company achieve its objectives.

What has been your most memorable moment since joining the company?
My first trip to visit the Distribution centre in Manosque, as a visual aid it really helped me to understand the company and the direction we are all heading. Another memory is of my first presentation and my most recent one to the Directors.

What do you like best about your work environment?
I enjoy the nature of the business and the hands on environment of the warehouse. When a box needs to go out it doesn’t move its self.

What is your favorite product?
The age old question, but I have to say Almond Shower oil followed by the Occitane Eau de Toilette. Both remind me of holidays.

Why did you join L'OCCITANE, and why have you stayed?
I used to visit the store in Islington when I worked for another company, I loved the products and the image, this gave me the desire to work for L`Occitane , I stay with the company because I have learnt so much, and I work with a great team of individuals that support you and want to suceed as a team.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I love so much of my role, to help develop individual accounts to do better and acheive more through special exculsive sets, great visual merchanidising and great L`Occitane support, I enjoy training, giving information to all the teams to enable them to understand our brand values and to then pass this on to their customers in their store.

What has been your most memorable moment since joining the company?
Running a great evening event in one of my stores over Christmas and selling so many products to so many new customers!

I travel all over the country but when I go into head office I always feel part of the team.

Why did you join L'OCCITANE, and why have you stayed?
I joined L'OCCITANE because I admire the fact that we are an independent company with a real sense of creativity and entrepreneurship. So there are always interesting and challenging new projects to undertake and to keep us busy. And as everyone else, I just love the products!

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I enjoy the 360 approach of my role as I am involved in every stage of the development of our marketing campaigns from the conception stage, the execution to the analysis of the post-campaign results. In retail, we have a new campaign every 3 weeks so there is always something new! The challenge is to have a good mix of creative and analytical skills.

What has been your most memorable moment since joining the company?
Probably… receiving my first product allocation!

I enjoy working with people with such a diverse background. We have for example many nationalities represented in the office and it is so refreshing to get to know so many people from all walks of life.

Why did you join L'OCCITANE, and why have you stayed?
I’ve stayed with L'OCCITANE over 3 years now as I am passionate about my career, the philosophy of the Company and of course the products. It is an exciting time to be part of L'OCCITANE UK, and I want to continue to be a part of the UK’s expansion and success.

What has been your most memorable moment since joining the company?
Christmas… every Christmas we double in staff! I am responsible for organising and coordinating the assessments of all potential applicants during recruitment days These days are always a memorable experience!

What do you like best about your work environment?
My team (Human Resources & Training) we work so well as a team together, I also like being able to go and work in the boutiques now and again.

What is your favorite product?
So hard to choose! Olive is my favourite range for face, the Almond Supple Skin Oil is my favourite for the body and my favourite fragrance is Vanilla. I have recently discovered the Shea Butter Nail & Cuticle Cream, having only used it for a week now, I have already noticed a fantastic difference in my nails.
