At the Confiserie Lilamand, know-how is transmitted from generation to generation. The singular adventure of this family began in 1866, when Marius Lilamand opened his confectionery in the heart of the Alpilles region. Over the centuries, the village shop has remained in the family, like a well-kept secret.
Since 1998, Pierre Lilamand is in charge of this factory, steeped in history. If he has given it a new impetus by renovating it, the confectioner has chosen to respect tradition. He makes his candied fruit with traditional methods, that were handed down to him by his ancestors.
To candy fresh fruit, he replaces the water with sugar syrup, to ensure its conservation. This slow process allows Lilamand's candied fruit to keep their age-old flavor. Sweet, soft and fragrant, they are like meticulously fashioned works of art.
If these delicacies symbolize the Provence of yesteryear, their success has spread beyond the region. From Paris to Brussels, the Confiserie Lilamand supplies prestigious houses such as Dalloyau and Wittamer. But above all it wants to preserve this local treasure and perpetuate its tradition.
