The Immortelle Brightening Shield SPF40 offers triple action benefits to correct wrinkles, unify the complexion and protect skin against the sun’s harmful ultra violet rays. A key product within the Immortelle Brightening collection, the Brightening Shield includes both Immortelle essential oil and Bellis Perennis (Daisy) extract. These Mediterranean “flowers of light” have complementary effects:

Immortelle essential oil stimulates collagen production, filling in wrinkles and firming the skin,
Bellis perennis extract brightens the complexion while evening skin tone*.

Our new formula includes Garden Nasturtium extract which enhances the skin’s natural ability to reflect light. Your complexion will be smoother and brighter, with a health, youthful glow. Additionally, skin is protected by mineral origin UV filters, to prevent the appearance of dark spots. A combination of Sunflower, Ivy and Rice Loaf extracts fight against the harmful effects of pollution.

Dermatologically tested. Non comedogenic.

I tried this after reading the reviews. I had been loyal to another face sun protection brand for about 20 years. My fling is now a full blown affair! This is great. I use a serum, moisturiser & then this. It definitely protects against the sun (I have two awful, large pigmentation patches on my face that are noticeable if I don't wear sunscreen even after a few hours). This is light, non-greasy and had a beautiful sheen to it that makes my face glow & look really healthy.

Light non greasy sun protection, unlike any other product I have used in the past. With ongoing use the results are fantastic. My pigmentation has significantly reduced, even during my second pregnancy. Highly recommended.

I play golf and spend a lot of time in the garden and find this product is the best as it does not irritate my eyes as other sunscreen does. It is also perfect under makeup even when the sun isn't shining. I love it.

It is one of the best sun lotion ever! Light weight yet with high spf protection. It is not greasy at all and abosrbs immediately after applying. It does not give a sticky felling like a lot of other sunscreen does. One of my favourite from l'occitane! Definately recommended!

I tend not to buy into serums and the extra lotions and potions you can add on to your usual moisturising regime. However, this time I decided to give this a whirl, I already use the immortelle brightening moisturiser and I'm so so pleased I bought this serum too. Non-greasy and gives my skin a glow that I have not seen before. I use it as part of a 3-step regime with both the immortelle toner, serum and moisturiser and my skin has never looked so good - do buy it, it's fabulous.

I have very fair skin but find that a lot of spf face creams clog my pores. This does not, a huge relief for the promised summer months ahead. UV protection is so important as we all now know, and particularly so for people with fair skin lacking in melanin like myself. This also acts as a makeup primer - perfect again for hot weather when foundation tends to just slip off one's face - and most important of all it does not contain nano particles like many other creams. Top marks L'Occitane.

I love this product. It is very light so doesn't make your skin look white as many SPF products do. It also seems to have a brightening effect on my skin and definitely doesn't make it oily.

I had high hopes for this, but after using a tester for a few days my skin has never been so oily and shiny. The texture is white and greasy so I would not recommend this if you suffer from an already oily complexion (which normally I don't!). The moisturiser in this range is lovely however.

Recommened this by sales assistant in the shop. I have to use a high SPF for my face, and this is perfect. It doesn't make my skin greasy, (and it is naturally oily) and I can still use my regular moisturiser. Well done yet again.

I walked into the Edinburgh store today with dull, irritated skin, and walked out - after a free skin consultation and mini spring treats - with lovely, supple skin! Helen, at the store, took me through the recommended skin-regimen and the new immortelle products made SUCH a huge difference that I straight away bought the brightening shield and moisturiser! I'm very curious to see how my skin looks a month from now! SO hoping I don't have to wake up with tired, dull, dry skin after this!
