Supporting Producers & Nature in Ways that Matter Supporting Producers & Nature in Ways that Matter

Supporting Producers & Nature in Ways that Matter

The fair relationships we have with our producers put people first and help ensure economic stability for small farming businesses. We believe beauty goes beyond what the eye can see. L’OCCITANE works directly with over 130 producers and 10,000 pickers - from the immortelle fields of Corsica to the lavender fields of Provence - to ensure that the ingredients we use are of the highest quality and sourced as sustainably as possible.

• L’OCCITANE prioritises traditional and organic farming practices, ensuring the health of the soil and enhancing biodiversity.

100% of L’OCCITANE’s immortelle, verbena, shea, and cade crops are organic, reducing agricultural emissions and promoting soil health.

• We have preserved and protected over 1,662 varieties and species of plants as part of its biodiversity commitment.

• We work with nature preservation charities to plant native trees, install beehives, and introduce new animal species.

• The brand sources over 200 botanical ingredients, many of them organically certified, carefully selected for their effectiveness.

• L’OCCITANE sources shea butter directly from fair trade-certified women’s cooperatives in Burkina Faso and Ghana.
