How to Use Micellar Water in Your Face Care Routine
Micellar waters have long been a staple in the French girl’s skincare routine, but it is only recently we have seen them appear on the shelves this side of the pond. But, what exactly is this wonder beauty product and how can we incorporate one into our skincare routine?

What is Micellar Water?
A Micellar Water (pronounced MY-SELL-AR) is a mild, no-rinse cleanser designed for make-up removal and gentle cleansing, suitable for all skin types including the most sensitive. They offer all of the convenience and portability of a traditional make-up wipe but with much less impact on the environment (especially when used with a reusable cotton round), as well as kinder, more hydrating ingredients for the skin, eyes and lips. Our alcohol-free formula is particularly gentle, infused with cooling cucumber known for its refreshing and soothing properties.
How does Micellar Water work?
A Micellar Water formula is made up of small bubbles of cleansing oil (called Micelles) suspended in an aqueous solution. The Micelles work like miniature magnets, attracted to impurities such as oil, make-up and dirt. These pore-clogging aggressors become entrapped in the Micelle Bubble and drawn out of the skin, as you wipe them away, lifting them off on your cotton round, without the need for rinsing with water.
This clever cleansing concept allows for effective purifying of the skin without the need for skin-drying and stripping ingredients often found in products such as make-up wipes. Instead, we use skin-friendly natural ingredients like our Zinc-rich Provençal Thyme, which purifies even further whilst respecting the skin barrier, leaving you with calm, radiant skin.
When would I use Micellar Water?
This product works overtime! It is the ultimate, multi-purpose beauty chameleon that can be used in so many different ways, I can’t imagine my routine without one. Makeup Remover
Soak a reusable cotton round in our Micellar Water and sweep over areas of light make-up, taking care on the area around the eyes. If you are wearing heavier eye or lip makeup, I’d recommend pressing the saturated cotton round onto the area, holding for a few seconds to help loosen the make-up first to prevent too much rubbing, leading to irritation.
Finishing Touches
Mornings can be hectic whether it be getting kids ready for school, ensuring you’ve had a decent breakfast or even just pressing the snooze button one too many times! Therefore it’s not always possible to perform a deep cleanse on your skin and that’s exactly where a Micellar Water comes in, a 5 second sweep and you can be out the door with a radiant complexion!
