I really like this book. It is different from the ordinary books from the bookshops. It is creative, artistic, imaginative. It is also very photogenic.
Got this book thinking it'll be a lovely read about nature and to a some extent it was. But the language and tone of the book make it read more like a pamphlet advertising L'Occitane ingredients to older children. And as usual, Africa was depicted as surprisingly welcoming despite the dry soil and heat. So really not suitable for every library.
I bought 2 of this book for my 7 and 8 year old granddaughters. They have started learning French at school and I thought they would like to see the translations and learn about the origins of L'occitane products! Because that's what it is, an advertising book for your products. It is also hardback and not suitable for children above the toddler stage , but the language is aimed at older children - very confusing and disappointing!
Lovely little, simply illustrated book. Nice to have the text in English and French.
My kids (3 and 7) loved this book about nature!
They loved the fact that you can smell some fowers (lavender, rose) and really like the drawings and the imagination!
They also really liked listenning the story thanks to the flash code at the end of the book!
The story is in english and french which is amazing!
